Evaluation and Recognition
The faculty evaluation process at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is designed to assist the institution in attracting promising faculty members, helping them reach their potential, retaining only the outstanding, and rewarding their proficiency.
Professorships are one of the highest forms of recognition provided by the University. They are used to attract, reward, and retain distinguished faculty, leaders, scholars, and artists of national and international reputation.
Faculty and Staff Awards
The awards coordinated by Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer recognize faculty and staff who advance the missions of the University in teaching, research and service.
Awardees are honored at the Laurels award celebration each September.
Promotion & Tenure
Nebraska strives to hire a talented faculty that produces important work and builds noteworthy careers. Those colleagues who are invited to join the senior faculty each year shape the University’s academic reputation for years to come.
Faculty Development Fellowships
Nebraska’s program enables faculty to focus on their own professional development for a dedicated period of time, thereby enhancing their value to the university.
