The Executive Vice Chancellor is Nebraska’s Chief Academic Officer and is the university’s responsible authority in the absence of the Chancellor.
The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor is charged with helping Nebraska achieve excellence across: (1) all areas of the academic enterprise through oversight of undergraduate teaching and learning, graduate mentoring, faculty development, promotion and tenure, resource allocation, strategic planning, innovative signature programs, enrollment management, education abroad, and global outreach; (2) the student experience, both in and out of the classroom, (3) delivery of the university's land-grant mission for research and economic development, (4) support of a diverse campus where all are welcome and where faculty, staff, and student well-being is a top priority.
