The University of Nebraska-Lincoln takes great pride in providing a supportive and engaging campus climate for its faculty. By investing in our faculty, we foster their careers and support them in balancing their personal and professional lives.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has a number of policies and resources that promote work-life balance. The University wishes to be supportive of faculty who need time off for personal reasons, approved professional development, or academic reasons.
Faculty Ombud Services
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has established a two-person team of ombuds to be a resource for faculty seeking to resolve difficulties that interfere with their work. The ombuds serve as designated 'neutral' parties who provide all UNL faculty members access to confidential, informal, independent and impartial assistance in managing conflicts and solving work-related problems.
